We actually met Laura and Steve for the first time very recently – just a few weeks ago! – when they first contacted us about photographing their wedding. Laura and Steve are so wonderfully laid back and relaxed and completely focused on nothing more than enjoying the rest of their lives together. It was so great chatting with them and hearing them put everything in perspective! Although they decided to have their wedding in the middle of March in Boston, the day was the most perfect spring day. The sky was a deep blue, the weather was warm and I started the day at Laura’s home where I found her family including her mom, sisters and brother all getting ready together. They are such a close family and it was great to watch everyone come together and help each other with all of the final details.
I wandered through Laura’s home when I first arrived to find which rooms had the best light and found her dress hanging in one the spare bedroom. Laura’s dress was absolutely gorgeous and consisted of two pieces – a strapless full length gown as well as a gorgeous lace jacket to cover it. This next image shows off that beautiful jacket, but also proves that in addition to be a stunning beauty, it’s not just skin deep for Laura, either:
We didn’t spent too much time at home before we made our way over to the church to be on time for the start the ceremony. But we did set aside some time for some portraits of Laura with her family by themselves just before stepping out the door. I wanted to show off some of that beautiful detail in Laura’s dress:

After a gorgeous ceremony at The Holy Name Church, a beautiful cathedral in West Roxbury, we all made our way to the Harvard Club in Boston. The Harvard Club has so many great features and unique little areas everywhere you turn so it’s so much fun to explore new locations whenever we photograph a wedding here. We started in a little room that we found adjacent to one of the restaurants. A little privacy, beautiful light and a gorgeous couple:

They hired our absolute favorite band ever, Kahootz, who delivered (as always!) an incredible performance that kept everyone on the dance floor. We ended the evening with a mini-night session right on Commonwealth Ave with the sparkling lights in the trees – just breathtaking! Laura and Steve are still on their honeymoon and we’re just waiting for them to get home so we can share the rest of their images with them. We can’t wait to see you soon!!
