Maureen recently called us to book a personal portrait session for herself. You know, I am absolutely LOVING this trend lately of booking a session…just because. Who says you need to wait for a huge life changing event to happen before booking a session? We have more and more regular sessions lately that are just coming in because they want some really cool, fun portraits of themselves. It’s so much fun (and such a great ego-booster, too!).
Maureen came in and was a little bit nervous at first about being in front of the camera. And when you think about it, how “natural” is it to get dressed up, perhaps spending a little extra time on your hair and makeup, and then pose and laugh and be silly in front of two cameras while being the complete center of attention. So, it’s completely understandable when we get calls from people who are just so nervous about being photographed.
That’s definitely one the great things about coming into the studio, though. In here, everything is really cozy and warm. We can crank the music up as loud as we all want and jump around and have a crazy time and no one ever needs to care that we’re having a blast. So that’s exactly what we did with Maureen! We spent a lot of time chatting, joking around and just having fun and before we all knew it we had an entire camera full of great images.
Maureen is so gorgeous to photograph and she brought so many great accessories and clothes to change into. We loved it! Thanks so much for going all out with us, Maureen!
