The Shanahan Family!

Is there any better way to spend a gorgeous summer Sunday morning than at the park?  So that’s exactly what we did with the Shanahan family!  Joe decided to surprise his wife Jenn a few weeks ago with a gift certificate from us for a family session.  Jenn had been wanting to set up a sesison with us for over a year after she saw a wedding we photographed, but never had a chance to call.  So Joe decided it would be the perfect gift to give her.  And from Jenn’s excitement when I chatted with her a few days later, I’d say he guessed right!

So Jenn and Joe have FIVE really gorgeous kids including three year old triplets.  They were just so much fun!  Jenn did a great job picking out everyone’s outfits and we started off with a few portraits of everyone together.  And then we soon migrated over to the playground where we really had some fun.  We can’t wait for their entire website to be up!

Thank you so much Joe, Jenn, Josh, Adam, Joe-Joe, Sarah and Minnie for letting us play with you guys at the park!  We can’t wait to do it again soon!

Nicole and Kevin are married!

We had an amazing time with Nicole and Kevin on Saturday at their wedding!  We were really excited for it to finally be here since we already got to spend time with them with an engagement session.  Nicole has to be one of the most organized people I’ve ever met, too.  Not only were they getting married (a pretty big event in someone’s life!) but they also found out that they had to move just over a month before the wedding!  And through it all, Nicole never lost her cool!

So Nicole and Kevin got married in Natick and had their reception at Primavera in Millis.  The day turned out to be absolutely gorgeous everything was just perfect!  Rene met Kevin and the guys at their home which is literally about two blocks from their church.  When it was time to go, they guys just walked on over!  As for Nicole, she’s the kind of person who is NEVER late.  So when it was time for her to go, she and her dad (who is also NEVER late), were actually standing outside ready to go waiting for everyone else to be ready and get into the limo.  That really made me chuckle and made for some pretty funny images, too.  And once everything was underway, Nicole and Kevin were SO much fun.  That was no surprise there for us, but it really did make for an incredibly lively reception, too!!

Here are just a couple of the images that Rene and I were able to get and we can’t wait for their entire website to up (very soon!)

Leanne and Brad’s wedding

Most people already know that when you visit Boston, you have officially entered Red Sox Nation and there is definitely no shortage of Red Sox fans here!  But I have to tell you… it would be really hard to find two bigger Sox fans than Leanne and Brad.  Leanne is a CPA and Brad is a firefighter for the Rockland Fire Department, but during baseball season they also work at Fenway Park and love every single second of it. Fenway is like their second home and so where better for Brad to propose but RIGHT ON THE FIELD at Fenway Park!  They also had their rehearsal dinner at Fenway and we were really hoping to meet them there to take some fun portraits right out on the field and on the Green Monster.   Unfortunately the rain kept from us doing that, but the rain definitely didn’t keep anyone from having fun at the wedding this past Saturday!

Leanne is an alum of Boston College and so the ceremony was right on campus at St. Igantius and we all drove over the Cambridge Marriott afterwards for the reception.  Rene and I had so much fun roaming around the hotel with Leanne and Brad and even went outside under the marquee for some fun nighttime images.  In any case, they are definitely making up for the rain by basking in the warm sun in Hawaii right now.  Have fun guys!!

Leanne and Brad’s website is ready!

Kim Fosher’s family

Kim Fosher is an absolutely incredible make up artist and we’ve known her for a while because we’re both involved with weddings so much.  It’s so much fun to arrive at a bride’s home or at a hotel and find Kim there helping everyone with their make up!  She’s just great.  Not only does she have the most upbeat personality you’ve ever seen, she’s also incredibly talented and very much in demand in the Greater Boston area. So if you find yourself needing a make up artist anytime - make sure you call Kim!!  Her email address is kthefosh@msn.com.

So Kim contacted us last fall because she and her sisters wanted to surprise their parents with a family portrait session for their 50th wedding anniversary.  We scheduled their session for this past Sunday and it included Kim, her parents, her two sisters and their husbands and kids.  We all went to Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, MA and walked all along the beach for all kinds of great images.  Kim’s family is so close and they have so much fun together and it was such a treat for us to spend the afternoon with them!  And I’m still having a hard time comprehending that her parents just celebrated their 50th anniversary!  We’re not done processing all of their images just yet, but here were a couple that we couldn’t wait to post!

Thank you SO much for letting us spend the afternoon with you!

Update:  This website is ready!
