Kristina and Ed

We are so happy for Kristina and Ed! As with a lot of couples, most of their friends also got married right around the same time as them.  The big difference, though, is that we’ve been photographing a lot of those weddings, too!  So if Kristina wasn’t actually a bridesmaid in those weddings, they she and Ed were attending as guests.  So we really felt right at home among all of their family and friends, most of whom we already knew from previous weddings!  But this weekend, it was FINALLY Kristina and Ed’s turn!

They promised us that they would have fun the entire day and they meant it.  Even though it was raining on and off all day, we were able to take a short drive after the ceremony to some beautiful grounds for some photos.  The timing was absolutely flawless because as Kristina and Ed arrived at the reception hall, the sky opened up and it began pouring again and lasted for the rest of the night.  The timing may have been perfect, but after knowing Kristina for this long, I have to tell you that I wasn’t even surprised.  She really planned the entire wedding like a pro!  She admitted that me that she felt like she was a bit of a bridezilla sometimes, but I have to tell you, Kristina, after seeing how it all turned out — all of that hard work was definitely worth it!

Here are a couple of images that we just loved.  This was of Kristina having some fun and working it a little, too!

This is another one that both Rene and I just loved.  I’m pretty sure that we’ll never know what Kristina was telling Ed here, but whatever it was gave us a glimpse of his beautiful smile.  And I just love that you can also see their son Andrew just patiently waiting in the background. I’m sure he didn’t realize that he was going to be part of the action for this one!

Andrew really is one cool kid.  He’s not only so handsome (not a surprise, though, since since Kristina and Ed are just gorgeous!) but he really has such a great personality, too.  After being around him all day, I definitely would have guessed that he’s much older than he actually is!

Here’s one more photo of Andrew that I got at the reception.  I was using the candles that were on the table as the only source of lighting for him. This is definitely one of my favorites:

So Kristina and Ed are now off on their honeymoon for the next ten days!  We can’t wait to hear all about it when you get back!

Robyn and Dan’s engagement

Robyn and Dan are getting married in just a few short weeks and we all got together today to have an engagement session before the big day!  The weather was perfect and we spent the afternoon walking around Fenway for some neat locations.  Dan is a HUGE Red Sox fan and Fenway was a perfect location for them.  Even though we couldn’t get in to the park, we didn’t let that stop us from using every other part of Fenway for some great images.  There were actually a lot of tour groups going inside and we played with the idea of sneaking in with them.  Robyn suspected that we might get noticed, though, given the fact the tour groups were made up for all four years olds…

It turns out that we probably had more fun using all of the buildings and streets in the neighborhood anyways!  Here are a few of our favorites!

In preparation of the big day, we got Robyn and Dan used to sitting on the ground and getting a little dirty with us!

We found some cool windows at a car mechanic’s garage and just couldn’t resist.  The cute little old mechanic was watching us and gave Dan and Robyn a big thumbs up after we done, too…

And what better way to end a session for a couple of huge Red sox fans?

We can’t wait for your wedding in a couple of weeks!!
