We spent last Saturday with Jen and Peter at their gorgeous wedding in Belmont and Stowe. It was an absolutely beautiful day and we took full advantage by staying outside for as long as we could! Their reception was at the Wedgewood Pines Country Club which is set on some amazingly manicured grounds. This first image was actually taken at the entrance to the country club. We stopped the cars before even getting to the actual building to take full advantage of the gorgeous scenery there!
Getting to photograph Jen and Peter was such a treat because we already did their engagement session last October at Walden Pond. We had SO much fun at their engagement session trying all kinds of different things and just because they were dressed up in their wedding dress and tux didn’t mean that anything would change for their wedding, either! An example is when they told us that they wanted to do a ring shot. But they were pretty adament about it not being a “traditional” ring shot which sounded great to us so Rene did this instead:
They had so many great details at the reception, too. For example, at each and every table was a picture of both Jen and Pete at a different age. So, at Table 4 you could find pictures of both of them at age 4; at Table 5 were some pictures of them at age 5. I thought that was such a great idea and you could see everyone walking around to each table to see the different photos. They also had some really adorable favors. They gave everyone a jar of honey that Jen and her mom wrapped and tagged themselves before the wedding. It was such a perfect New England touch!
And fnally at the very end of the night, we snuck outside with Jen and Peter one last time for some private photos of just the two of them. It was pretty dark out and so we rounded up the candles that were decorating the outdoor tables for a little bit of ambient lighting and it made for some amazing portraits of the two of them:
