Isabel is growing up!

.

Look at our little girl growing up! This adorable little girl is Isabel and we’ve known her for every day of her life. We even know her before she was born! We photographed her mom and dad’s engagement session, then their wedding and now we’re watching her grow up, too.

This is actually Isabel’s 3rd portrait session and she’s not even one year old yet. She’s a pro at this stuff (she’s even pretending that she doesn’t see the camera in this photo!) Since babies change so much just in the first year of their lives, Isabel’s mom and dad wanted to be sure to document their little girl growing up and going through all of those “firsts”. Her first tooth, her first steps - we’ve been so incredibly honored to be there for all of it so far! Here are a few more of our favorites from that afternoon. It was so hard to choose!

Isabel’s big cousin and trusty sidekick, Jamison, also came along for the session and this is one of those “awww” images of the two cuties together. Jamison is just a little bouncing ball of happiness and she’s so much fun to photograph.

And another of little Jamison all by herself. Every time I see these beautiful blue eyes, I just melt!

And this was our very last image of the day when all of that running around and having fun finally caught up with Isabel. We can’t wait to see you in a few months!

The Dorfman family

A few months ago we received a call from someone who had a pretty unique idea for his staff. It was right around the holidays and he wanted to find something to give his employees that would be really special to them and that each of them would actually be able to use. So he purchased gift certificates for a family session for everyone and even included a credit that they could use towards reprints afterwards. It’s pretty obvious that he is one of the coolest bosses ever! Okay, I’ll admit I’m a little biased, but judging from the reaction he got when delivered the gift certificates to his staff, I’m guessing they probably felt the same way, too. :)

The Dorfman family were the very first ones to redeem their gift and we got to spend an fantastic afternoon with both Gerry and his wife along with their extended family. Since their kids are adults and have families of their own, it’s not all that often that they have a chance to get together at the same time. His son actually lives in California, so it was a real treat for everyone and it was fun to be in the middle of all of the excitement. Without a doubt, the stars of the session were their two gorgeous granddaughters. They weren’t shy even a little and we had fun chasing them around the house to get those infectious smiles! We can’t wait to see you all again soon!
