Tirado Photography voted “Best of Boston”!

.

.

We have some very exciting news to share!!

Tirado Photography was just voted as one of the best wedding photographers in Boston in the latest issue of The Knot’s “Best of Weddings 2007″! We are so unbelievably excited!! And humbled and so, so appreciative. All at the same time!

It seems that The Knot surveyed over 25,000 brides last year and asked them to rate and comment on their wedding vendors. The Knot then compiled all of the responses and published only the top rated vendors in their latest issue. You can pick up a copy at newstands right now or you can always stop by the studio to flip through the pages! And here’s a little excerpt what some of our couples said about us:

Greater Boston area brides call Tirado Photography “energetic and passionate about capturing every moment of a wedding.” “They listened to every request and attended to each person with the utmost respect and care.”

Aw shucks, guys - we’re blushing! Thank you so, so much to each and every one of our amazing couples and to everyone who picked our studio as one of the best here in Boston. It’s an unbelievably huge honor for us and we’re only going to keep working harder and harder (and having more fun!) with you! We’re so excited about another fantastic year ahead!

I love what we do! I was going to say what we do “for work” but sometimes it really doesn’t feel like work so that didn’t seem right. Anyways, the reason I’m gushing is because we sometimes get to meet the coolest couples and their families. Take Holly and Dave, for example. We met Holly and Dave when they first approached us about photographing their wedding. And that’s exactly what we did just this past November. Take a look through the blog archives for their wedding! Soon after the wedding, we got an email from Holly and Dave saying that they wanted to get together with Dave’s extended family for a big family photo session. So we set up a date and got together with them last Saturday.

I’ll be totally honest here and admit that even though we couldn’t wait to spend some time with Holly and Dave again, I was so incredibly excited to finally meet their little baby, Fenway. We had heard so much about him since he was a puppy and we were dying to finally meet him. Except that….well, Fenway’s not so little anymore. He’s a Bernese Mountain Dog, which really means that he’s a big huge ton of lovable mush. Of course, Dave did take him out on about 5 long walks before we got there, which meant that by the time we arrived, Fenway was too exhausted to do much more than this:

That, of course, was completely fine with me because that meant I could pet him and play with his ears and belly to my heart’s content and he was too tired to protest. :) There was another little star at the session at that was Matthew, Holly and Dave’s nephew. Unfortunately poor Matthew wasn’t feeling good when we first got there, but he was still such a trooper and we got some really great images of him (and his incredibly long gorgeous eyelashes):

Happy six month anniversary, Holly and Dave!!
