After many long months (and long evenings!) our brand new studio is finally ready! We’ve been receiving so many phone calls, visits and emails and want to thank everyone for every single one of them! We are so incredibly excited and can’t wait to finally share it with everyone. A lot of you have been asking when we would post some photos so after a terribly long delay because there was always “one more thing” that we wanted to get done, here they finally are. So welcome to our new studio and to our little “tour” of what we’ve been doing over the past couple of months.
First a little history lesson! The studio itself is located in an old mill complex in Peabody Square. Our building was built in 1884 and was originally a leather finishing complex. It’s been years and years since the building was used for that, and over the years the building was neglected and became more and more dilapidated. The current owner bought the building about 5 years ago and dedicated all of his time and resources into completely restoring the building back to its original beauty. We’ve seen the “before” photos so we know how much work it must have taken but from the moment you walk through door, you can see that it was all completely worthwhile. We now share the building with several other local businesses including a custom furniture making company, a cable television station and even a gourmet kitchen. Having that gourmet kitchen just down the hall from us means that we get to take in those wonderful cookie-smells all day long. (Bonus!!)
So now for a visual walk through so you can see what we’ve been working on all of these months! As you walk through our front door, the first thing that usually draws you in are the 20+ foot gorgeous wood ceilings and the great wooden beams throughout the entire studio. So here is the view as you first walk in:

Next, this is another view from the front of the studio looking towards the back.
- The reception area is in the foreground;
- Our meeting area just behind it;
- Further behind it still is our new viewing area (more on that later…);
- All of our workstations are just behind the half wall to the left; and
- Our shooting area is just behind those floor-to-ceiling drapes to the right:

And this is a “reverse” view - so this is now looking towards the front of the studio:

And just another angle of our meeting table and you can also catch a glimpse of our customizable shooting area. You’ll be able to see a more detailed view of that area next. Off to the left you’ll also see a little piece of our “portrait wall”. More details on that later…

And here are few different images of our new camera room/shooting space which we are very excited about! When we took this photo, it was set up for an engagement session that we had just done but it can also be completely customized for any type of session that we may have going on - a family session, a baby session, an intimate (or boudoir) session or anything else that may come up. In a couple of weeks we’ll be transforming this area into a workout center for a session we have scheduled with a personal trainer. This space definitely provides a lot of flexibility with the high ceilings, brick walls, and all of the different accessories we have.

Another angle:

And one more, with some super sexy guy in the mirror:

All the way at the end of studio, you’ll see our brand new state-of-the-art theater set up which we created especially for our viewing sessions. There’s definitely nothing in the world like seeing the images and reliving the memories of your session or your wedding on the big screen and with premium surround sound.

And here are a few more little details. Our portrait wall with some examples taken directly from our brand new “inspire guide” - a book that we have created especially for our clients with pages and pages of ideas and inspiration on how to turn your images in art for your home and office.

And I can’t forget our display of the recent magazines we have been published in:

I hope you’ve enjoyed our little tour! The only thing better would be to come in and see us, so we really hope to have everyone come in soon. We also have our very own signature mat that we’d love to have all of you sign before we hang it on our wall. We custom create and frame these mats for so many of our wedding clients, so we thought we’d make one for ourselves as well. So come on and add your name to our wall!
Thank you so much, Andy & Christine! We would absolutely love to get to finally meet you! Come on by anytime!
JZ - That is the absolute truth and I couldn’t have written it more beautifully. If you believe in it, nothing can stop you. It’s what will get you through all of the difficult times and the extra work that you have to put into it. But when you finally get to live your dream it all becomes completely worth it. Thank you so much!
Lewis - Thank you so much for your wishes! I’m just more and more amazed every time I see what you’ve been doing lately as well. Your star is rising fast!! Can’t wait to chat again soon…
Kim - a/k/a my coffee buddy! You know I’m always ready to see you and those two beautiful boys of yours. (3 with Donny!) We need to bring those gorgeous babies in for a session!
Brittany - thank you so much for the congrats! Looking forward to finally catching up with you soon…
Kate - How’s THE best personal trainer in New England doing?? Thank YOU for coming in and trusting us so completely. We had such a blast with you and it was so much fun to see you relax in front of our lenses. We knew what an amazing model you’d be from the moment you walked through our door and we had such a great time showing you all of the possibilities!
Jess & Nate - Thank you so much. That means so much coming from close friends like you. Not to mention the fact that we’re still drooling over your own new digs. Congrats to you, too!
Aali - we’re so happy you like it! Let us know when you’ll be in the area and we’d love to see you.
Kara - Thank you!! We miss you and Brian so much! We were just talking about your amazing wedding to a couple we met with this week. You guys completely made us fall in love with Kennebunkport (and the Nonantum). And who else but you two could arrange for such a grand entrance to your cocktail hour - arriving via sailboat while the sun set was setting and while your guests all waited at the shoreline. I’m still giddy thinking about how amazing it all was. We miss you both to pieces.
Melissa looks awesome - Congrats to you guys!
