We’ve had some people ask us if we feel weird about having a job where we are so intimately involved in a very special day and then soon after never have any interactions with them again. And the answer to that is so easy because we stay in touch with so many of couples long after the wedding day. Shawnet and Dan are a perfect example of this! We first met this gorgeous couple in 2005 when they asked us to photograph their engagement session on a beach in Gloucester. They were planning a destination wedding but wanted to have an engagement session with us here at home and we had such an great time with them. They’re just a gorgeous couple to photograph and I kept tell Shawnet that she belongs on a runway. They were married later that year and we can’t even describe how excited we were when Shawnet emailed us just a couple of months ago to say that they were expecting their first baby!
Their baby is due to arrive in November and we thought it would be great to return to the same beach that we used for their engagement session! It was a perfect afternoon and as the session progressed we remembered why we love photographing these guys so much! Here are just some of our favorites:
I can still hear Shawnet’s giggle perfectly whenever I see this next image. We love her smile so much!!
