Ellie and Wes – A photographer’s dream wedding

Ellie and Wes are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met. We connected right away and I couldn’t wait for the wedding to be here. They were married at the beautiful Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham, MA and we were treated to a picture perfect sunny day for their ceremony that was to be held beach side and their reception that was set against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean. As the sun began to set, Wes borrowed his dad’s car and we all jumped in and went for a drive along the shore to chase the beautiful colors until they set. Truly a dream wedding…I hope you enjoy:

Kate and Jesse – Red Lion Inn

Kate and Jesse had to work really hard to make their wedding happen, after having a couple of date changes and then venue changes…all of which was out of their control – they finally were able to exchange their vows in a beautiful ceremony and one of the liveliest receptions I’ve seen in such a long time at the Red Lion Inn in Cohasset. The entire day was so much fun and it’s tell when looking through their images. Kate and Jesse are gorgeous to photograph and have so much love for each other, I couldn’t get enough of them:

Trends and Traditions – an event planner’s day

So I get to work so many wonderful event planners here in Boston while photographing weddings. They really make the day go so much more smoothly and let my couples truly enjoy the day. There are some event planners that are just plain fun to be around, too. Enter Trends and Traditions, a group of women that I’ve known for years and have been able to work with many, many times. (You find their website here…) So when they called up and said they needed some images of themselves to show their creativity and also their fun personalities, I couldn’t wait to get them into the studio. They showed up with a car full of supplies complete with champagne and popcorn and it turned into a fun party that lasted into the evening (what else did you expect from event planners??). We had an amazing time and here’s a peek at some of the results:

Maria and Chris – a cultural modern city wedding

We had so much fun at Maria and Chris’ engagement session out in Rockport, laughing all afternoon long, and couldn’t wait to spend the entire day with them. Their big day finally arrives and it was everything they hoped it would be. From waking up to a beautiful New England fall day, their Boston trolley to take them around the city, the beautiful Chinese tea ceremony honoring their family and the absolutely stunning views from the top floor of the Omni Parker House for their reception….they couldn’t have planned it any better. Here’s a sneak peek at the details:

Casey and Joe’s destination wedding

Casey and Joe were planning a destination wedding for their big day. A destination wedding……for them. Not so much for us since it was being held right in Massachusetts. But Casey and Joe are living at Lake Tahoe in Nevada and were coming back home to celebrate their big day. Casey and Joe are such a beautiful couple with the biggest hearts. They are the kind of couple that will do anything for their family and their friends and once you meet them, you instinctively feel protective of them because you don’t want to ever see that beautiful generosity taken advantage of. What an amazing day we had with them on a lake and with big blue skies all around and the sun shining bright. And so, we proudly present: Casey and Joe!

Casey and Joe had a beautiful ceremony overlooking a lake and during the ceremony asked everyone to make a wish for the couple and then drop a pebble into a vase as a symbol of that wish for them:

After that emotional ceremony we stole Casey and Joe away and ran down to the beach (really we took golf carts…). The sun was just setting which of course is exactly what we all could have hoped for. So well worth the effort!

And one of the cutest details? One of the best candy bars I’ve seen:

Necole and Andrew’s engagement session

We had one of our most memorable engagement sessions recently with a couple that is just classy, stylish and wanted to show it all off in an all day session. We began in the early afternoon and didn’t end until long after the sun went down. Between outfit changes, bringing their adorable puppies along, multiple locations including the beach, abandoned homes and then a vintage carousel….it was definitely an epic engagement session! The Kelly Family at Nahant beach

We spent a beautiful summer day recently with the Kelly Family on Nahant beach on the north shore. Tim and Tara told us they definitely wanted us to capture their family as they enjoyed a day at the beach playing with their beautiful boys and that’s exactly what we did. I love on location sessions like this where I get to have so much fun with our families in a setting that they’re really comfy with. I hope you enjoy!

Rachel and Aaron – The State Room

Rachel and Aaron’s wedding was always going to be the event of a lifetime. Rachel is probably one of the most organized people we’ve ever met and both of their families love to celebrate so you can imagine how their wedding was one of the most anticipated events for both of their families! We can’t wait to show how much fun everyone had together:

Before getting dressed, Rachel’s grandmother came by to say hello to her:

Before heading out to meet Aaron, we used Rachel’s hotel room for a few personal portraits:

And then we were able to capture Rachel and Aaron’s beautifully emotional first meeting at the gorgeous Post Office Square in downtown Boston:

We then spent a lot of time roaming around Boston and having their trolley drive us to various locations for their own personal portraits. It was the best time!

We then made our way back to the State Room wait for the start of the kettubah signing and the ceremony right afterward. I loved this moment of Rachel and Aaron’s flower girl waiting for the ceremony to begin:

And another favorite moment was between Rachel and her mom when her parents walked her down the aisle:

Now some of the most memorable things about Rachel and Aaron’s wedding were all of the incredible details everywhere! It was as though your eyes didn’t know what to take in first. We couldn’t sharing at least some of these great details:

We then enjoyed an incredible high energy and beautiful reception. And loved having Men in Black, one of Boston’s best wedding bands there, too. And so on that note, we thought we’d end with one of the last images from the evening (up with the band singing their hearts out to Bon Jovi) that pretty much describes Rachel and Aaron’s relationship perfectly. Two gorgeous, fun loving and hilariously cool people that are madly in love with each other:

Portrait News — A Spring Portrait Special

It’s that time of year in Boston! The Red Sox are about to celebrate the season opener at Fenway, the trees are starting to bud and we’re starting to see some poke through the ground. It’s an exciting time of year for New Englanders for sure and here at the studio it also means that the begins to get a workout with our families calling to schedule their annual portrait sessions!

So to celebrate this annual rite of passage, Tirado Photography is announcing our fabulous Spring Portrait Special that is now going on. Every spring we put together a special promotion and this year we’re offering an incredible incentive to book your session right now. If you book your portrait session before May 1st, your session fee will be only $95. (A savings of over $200 from our normal session fee!) We want to make sure there’s no reason for you not to schedule a session with your family, your kids or even just your friends. So just a reminder to call the studio and book your spring session soon to make sure you get your choice day and times confirmed. Our available weekend session times are booking up quickly and we also have some week day and early evening sessions available as well.
