A fun family session in the fall!

Try saying that title five times fast!

We met the Renzoni family because one of our other couples gifted a portrait session for them last year. And we are so, so happy that they did. We had an absolute blast with their family. It took us a while to actually schedule their session. You see, the Renzonis have a growing family with four beautiful children and with that many people, it was tough for them to juggle their busy schedules between after school activities and work and pick a date for our session! But we finally pinned down a definite date and we were so excited to finally photograph them!

This was a family session, but they also thought it would be great to capture each of their kids individually, too, and we absolutely loved that idea! First, let’s meet everyone all at the same time:

And now meet the youngest member of the Renzoni family - beautiful little Dominick:

And having fun with Dominick’s big brothers, Vinny and Gino and his big sister, Maria, too!

We had such a fabulous time with their family! It was a perfect afternoon session and we can’t wait to see you all again soon!

Danielle and Tarik’s engagement session

Danielle and Tarik will be getting married in exactly one year - October of 2090! So what a better way to celebrate their one year “pre” anniversary that with an engagement session. Which might sound easy enough except that Danielle and Tarik live in Virginia. This may just be the furthest distance that one of our couples has ever traveled for an engagement session with us!

Since Danielle and Tarik don’t live here, we planned their session on a weekend they were going to be visiting anyways. They were trying to think of a unique location for their engagement session and finally settled on the beautiful Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, RI. We focused more on the “park” part instead of the “zoo” part. The grounds at the Roger Williams Park Zoo are just beautiful and so incredibly scenic. We walked around all afternoon soaking in the sun, the beautiful leaves and having lots of fun…

Danielle and Tarik laugh so much together - they’re such an adorable couple!

They actually left for Virginia right after our session and finally made it home (loooong drive!). We are so looking forward seeing them again and even better, hanging out with them at the wedding in exactly one year!

Alyssa and Kirk’s beautiful wedding at the Langham Hotel

You may recognize Kirk and Alyssa from their engagement session exactly one year ago. We had such a blast with them and then had to wait a whole year before getting to photograph them again. But it was definitely worth the wait!

While the girls were getting ready at home, Rene met Kirk and his groomsmen at the church (the brand new St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in Braintree) before all of the guests starting arriving.

And then while Alyssa and her girls made their way to the church, Kirk’s dad waited just inside the giant front doors:

After a beautiful ceremony, all of their guests lined up outside just in time for Alyssa and Kirk to exit under a shower of rice. It was gorgeous!

We then all made our way over to the beautifully manicured gardens at Post Office Square for their portrait session with their family and their wedding party. It was the perfect location - a gorgeous lush park in the middle of the financial district in Boston.

Alyssa and Kirk had their reception at the beautiful Langham Hotel in downtown Boston. Their guests enjoyed cocktail hour under beautiful fall colored Japanese lanterns and then made their way into the beautiful Cafe Fleuri. The reception officially began with a perfect first dance and then beautiful toasts by both their maid of honor and best man.

Alyssa and Kirk are actually still on their honeymoon at this very moment. We hope you’re having a fabulous time! We can’t wait to see you soon!

Look who is already 3 years old!!

And now we dedicate this space to one of our favorite little stars of this blog. Surely by now our regular readers will recognize Claire - who somehow turned 3 years old when we weren’t looking!

We’ve been photographing Claire since she was a baby and we so look forward to her session every year. Claire and her mom and dad live right in Boston and she is definitely a city girl. At three years old since is so articulate, so stylish and SO much fun.

A session with Claire means a lot of running around and just having a ball. Claire is one of the funniest little girls we’ve met and we all spend most of the session laughing and joking around with one another. Claire showed up for our session in her very best princess outfit complete with a tiara, magic wand and - my favorite! - pink sparkly Mary Jane’s!

And here is that fabulous little personality that we love:

And looking like the perfect princess that she is:

After all these years, Claire knows us very well which makes each session even more fun than the last. That also means that when I come up with an idea that might not make sense, Claire doesn’t have to humor me, either. I nearly died laughing after she looked to Rene for help with this one:

Then we had an outfit change right there in the park and Claire, without missing a beat, kept right on having fun!

What’s one of the very best things about having a session in the fall in Boston? The leaves!! And the very best thing about photographing kids at this age is that they are really discovering how much fun the different seasons can be. There is just nothing better than the pure joy and the belly laughs that result from tossing a big armful of leaves right into the air:

Then we took a little break so that we could make sure we photographed Claire together with her mom and dad. What a super close and beautiful family:

Claire wanted a few special portraits together with her mom, too and I just loved these so much…Can’t you just feel the love?

And this next candid image just tugged at my heart strings. Claire always subconsciously plays with her mom’s hair when they’re cuddling together. It’s one of those adorable little habits that she’s had since she was a baby and I just love it!

We love Claire and her family so much and truly look forward to their session every year! We can’t wait to see you again soon!!

Audrey’s portrait session in the Boston Public Garden

We had an amazing first session with nine month old Audrey recently at the Public Gardens! Audrey’s mom and dad came to us as a referral and after hearing so much about her, we just could not wait to finally meet Audrey in person! She has so much personality already and even though it’s too early to be walking, she’s definitely pulling herself up and holding on to things already. She’s going to be running around very soon! But for now, we had an easy time keeping up with her at our session - a crawling baby is no match for us! :)

Audrey’s mom and dad decided they wanted to have their session right in the Boston Public Garden and we are so happy that they did - it was such a perfect autumn day and the leaves were just starting to turn beautiful colors all around us. It doesn’t get any more perfect! So here are some of our favorites from their session…

Look at this personality already!

We even had an outfit change right in the middle of the park! Oooh to be a kid again, huh?

We completely fell in love with Audrey’s striking blue eyes and her very stylish haircut (fresh just for our session!)

A newborn story - Caroline’s very first portrait session

It seems like just last week that we were photographing Angela’s maternity session! Angela and Artie were so excited about Caroline’s arrival and is it possible that she knew that? Because little Caroline made her debut into the world a little earlier than planned. I think she sensed all of the excited people around her who just couldn’t wait to meet her! Everything went really well and everyone is healthy and incredibly happy!

So we had a tentative date picked out for Caroline’s newborn session but since she arrived a few weeks early we just moved it right up so we could get those little perfect newborn moments!

Everyone….meet Caroline!

I love little naked baby portraits!

And now for Caroline and mom’s favorite way to take a nap:

Caroline is just as perfect and as sweet as we had imagined and we’re so happy that she has finally arrived! Congratulations Angela and Artie!!
