Thomas and Jack

It’s been over a year since you’ve seen little man Jack on our blog! And you’re going to be just as shocked as we were at how big he grew. Jack’s family scheduled a new session in the studio so we could see the now very tall Jack and also meet his new baby brother, Thomas! I tried to spend much of the session convincing their mom and dad to have more babies….Jack and Thomas are so adorable and so HAPPY all the time that I think a few more of them in the world would be very nice indeed!

Although Jack is much taller, was able to run around the studio this time and a lot more on top of his head….his beautiful toothy grin still hadn’t changed:

And we got to meet baby Thomas who is the same age that Jack was the last time we got together. I love this age!

The next time we see Thomas he’ll be running around the studio, too, and we’ll have two big boys to chase around. Good thing I have long legs and can keep up! Can’t wait to see these guys again very soon….

Audrey and Chase

A couple of weeks ago, the door to our studio opened and all we could see over the half wall at our entrance was a little tiny head of bouncy blonde curls. Ah yes… we were expecting the blonde curls and they were right on time. Attached to the adorable blonde bouncy curls was an equally bouncy little girl named Audrey who is all full of sunshine and personality.

This was our yearly portrait session with Audrey, but this time there was a new addition – she brought along her new baby brother, Chase. We had a fabulous afternoon playing together in the studio and getting some great portraits for mom and dad at the same time. We couldn’t wait to share so here they are!

One thing that was so funny when we going through these images. We realized just how much Audrey reminds us of her mom, Kristin. We’ve known Kristin and Charlie for almost 6 years now (has it really been that long?!?). We photographed their wedding and it’s so much fun for us to watch their family grow. But when we were editing the images from our latest session, I kept hearing Rene say, “Audrey has the SAME expressions as Kristin!” I love it!

Audrey has such a fun personality and there’s no hiding how she feels at any given time. And so we proudly present to you….the many expressive faces of Audrey.

And now the very latest addition to the Dennison family! Chase is an amazing baby – so tiny and perfect. On top of that, he is such a mellow and happy little guy – he was so patient and let us do whatever we wanted:

There’s nothing like a big sister hug:

This next image cracked me up. Chase and Audrey were sitting next to each other, very quietly and mellow-like. When all of a sudden, Audrey let out a happy screech from the very top of her lungs. We all jumped about 3 miles and then burst out laughing, but what cracks me up now, is Chase’s reaction. Kristin (their mom) reports that Chase is now so used to Audrey excitement that he doesn’t even flinch anymore.

We had such a blast with Chase and Audrey and it was so amazing to finally meet Chase in person. Kristin reports that everyone promptly fell into an exhausted sleep after our session. Congratulations again, Kristin and Charlie, on your newly expanded beautiful family! We’ll be getting together with Audrey and Chase again in August, but this time with their mom and dad for a full family session and we can’t wait to see them again!

A studio session with the Natale family!

A really great perk to being a wedding photographer is that you get to meet all kinds of creative people that are just as passionate about….well, about passion! And we’ve met some fabulous people in every industry over the years. One of them is Paul Natale, a DJ with Murray Hill Talent. We recently bumped into him again at a networking breakfast here in Peabody and it was fun to catch up with him again. Rene and I had donated a gift certificate for a portrait session which would be raffled off during the networking event. Imagine our surprise when Paul won the gift certificate! We were so excited because we’d finally get to meet this gorgeous wife he keeps telling us about and also their two kids. Paul, on the hand, was equally excited because this gorgeous wife of his had also been hounding him for months to schedule a portrait session for their children and winning this gift certificate suddenly made his life so much easier.

So we quickly picked an afternoon when Paul would be able to bring the whole family by the studio, and we had such an amazing time playing with their kids. Paul’s wife, Melissa, is every bit as gorgeous as he described her. And we just fell in love with their kids!!

My best new buddy, Evi…. She’s not camera shy at all so we quickly discovered we had a lot in common.

And finally, Paul and Melissa wanted a family portrait that showed off each of their personalities….instead of one that just showed off their smiles! So after a little monkeying around we ended up with my favorites:

AJ’s newborn session

Tony and Nicole definitely planned the timing of their maternity session with us really well. Just a few weeks after our first session with them, baby AJ arrived and we started planning for his newborn session!

A few weeks later, the door to our studio opened and a very proud Nicole and Tony introduced us to a very sleepy baby AJ. It was just about nap time and we loved it! It meant that we were able to get some great sleepy portraits before we he woke up.

Soon enough, though, AJ was fully awake and – with the help a vacuum cleaner to soothe him (who knew????) we got some happy AJ portraits, too. Look at that stylin’ hairdo he has going on!!

That’s not everyone, though! Tony and Nicole brought the whole family, including their original baby…..meet the very lovable Rocco:

Shawnet, Dan and Jackson

By now, Shawnet and Dan are familiar faces on our blog. We’ve gotten to know this gorgeous couple over the past couple of years ever since we photographed their engagement session at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester. Their lives and our relationship with them made a full circle this past fall when we photographed their maternity session on that very same beach! (You can take a peek at their last session here).

Shawnet and Dan are such a beautiful couple and have the best personalities so I think it might even be safe to say that we were almost as excited as they were to meet their new son as soon as he arrived into the world. We knew he’d be a very special baby and we set a date for his newborn session right after he was born. One of the best moments of their session – and something I will never forget for the rest of my life – was Dan’s face as they walked into the studio that afternoon. I have never in my life seen a prouder daddy. Dan and Shawnet were truly glowing and happier than we had even imagined. I turned into a big pile of mush and I hadn’t even met little Jackson yet! And so now without any further ado, we’d like to introduce you to precious and beautiful Jack!

He’s smiling! Already! Now you can easily understand why Shawnet and Dan are the happiest parents ever. Jackson is so precious and such a good baby. We had a full hour long session and he never once was cranky or tired. He was fascinated with the camera and so you can imagine how excited we are about our new little model! Congratulations a million times to you, Shawnet and Dan! You are such amazing parents already and we can’t wait to enjoy watching Jackson grow up with you in the years ahead!
